According to the statement released by Manila international airport Authority (MIAA), no transfer of airlines will occur until further notice.

“Discussions gave rise to unforeseen operational constraints that require longer time to resolve,” the statement continues.

“In this regard, the MIAA in its letter dated June 5, 2018, formalized to the committee Chairman of the house of representatives committee on Transportation, its request to defer the implementation of the terminal Rationalization Program.”

The reports that there will be reshuffling in the terminal assignments of airlines began when PTV, the government-owned television network, made the first announcement. The PTV news report stated that the changes would be effective August 31, 2018, which caused some confusion among the traveling public.

Here’s the full video report by PTV:

In the supposed plan, according to PTV, the assignments would have been the following:

NAIA terminal 1

Philippine Airlines

Etihad Airways

Japan Airlines

Saudia Airlines

Thai Airways

NAIA terminal 2

Cebu Pacific Air (Domestic Flights)

Philippine Airlines (Domestic Flights)

NAIA terminal 3

Air Asia (international flights)*

Air China

Air Niugini

Asiana Airlines

Cathay Pacific

Cebu Pacific Air (international flights)*

China Airlines

China Eastern Airlines

China southern Airlines

Delta Air Lines

Emirates

EVA Air

Gulf Air

Jeju Air

Jetstar Airways

KLM royal Dutch Airlines

Korean Air

Kuwait Airways

Oman Air

Qantas Airways

Qatar Airways

Royal Brunei Airlines

Tiger Air

Xiamen Air

+ All other international Carriers (Except for the 5 assigned to terminal 1)

NAIA terminal 4

Again, to be clear, this plan will no longer push through.

It’s always good practice to contact the airline before your flight to confirm the right terminal because there could be further changes.
